Sustainability / Corporate Responsibility

Athea Kids

Our goal is to create value through our focus on efficiency and sustainability. We achieve this by applying best practice, employing a motivated workforce and adopting continuously updated technology. We believe that the sustainable approach can only be achieved through integration of social, economical and environmental factors.

We believe that we have a responsibility to the local community and society in general. To this end, we have numerous schemes that are operated on an ongoing basis. We actively support local GAA and other sports and community clubs.

The company understands the impact that its presence can have in a region and to this end strives to minimise any negative effects that may arise. This includes environmental awareness, social impact, traffic management, employment opportunities and Health and Safety.

Community

Roadbridge has a strong and driven Environmental system that ensures the company's activities are not detrimental to the locale where any operations are ongoing. This also compliments our effective H&S policies that support a safe working environment for all employees and also ensures that local residents are not affected by any construction works.

Roadbridge employ local personnel and suppliers on each project, ensuring a legacy of wider economic generation.

The Roadbridge approach is to encourage and mentor our personnel to develop excellence in their field and to give them the opportunity for career development.

We provide continual support for our professional staff and encourage their participation in Continuing Professional Development. All projects require induction of personnel prior to commencement and on-going Safety training and Construction skills courses are provided.

Our aim is to create a great place to work and to provide our personnel with a good work/life balance.

Where possible, Roadbridge attempt to employ local skills on each project thereby bringing employment opportunities, skills training and opportunities that would not otherwise exist in the region. Local suppliers are used where possible.

Modern Day Slavery & Human Trafficking

Roadbridge recognises that slavery and human trafficking remains a hidden blight on our global society.  The aim of the company is to identify our responsibility by alerting staff to the risks, however small, in our business and in the wider supply chain.  Staff are expected and encouraged to report concerns to management, where they are expected to act upon them.
