The 10th Annual FSPA Awards took place place on 22nd February 2017 at the RDS in Dublin and amongst the winners was Roadbridge Head Office Canteen for the second year in a row.  The 21 award-winners, including eight hospitals and four educational institutions, were recognised for their excellence across a number of criteria including structural and operational hygiene, food safety and protection, personal hygiene and staff facilities as well as food safety management systems documentation.

The citation on the FSPA website regarding this award reads as follows:

Founded in 1967 Roadbridge is one of Irelands leading Civil Engineering companies, employing over 400 personnel. The safety and welfare of the workforce is paramount to the ethos and the provision of excellent catering facilities on each project is always one of the first considerations in its planning. This award winning approach includes a dedicated catering department to ensure food safety standards are complied with at all times. Roadbridge is renowned in their industry in setting the standards for provision of welfare facilities which in part is responsible for our high staff retention.

Speaking after the awards, Roadbridge Food Safety Manager Caroline Mulcahy added 'Roadbridge are delighted to receive this Food Safety Professionals Association award as it furtherdemonstrates our commitment to the wellbeing of our work-force.'
